Charles E. Osborne, CFA® ~ Managing Director
Chuck Osborne, CFA, is co-founder and managing director of Iron Capital Advisors and the firm’s chief investment officer. Chuck has nearly 20 years of experience in the investment industry. Prior to founding Iron Capital, Chuck was the director of investment services at Invesco Retirement Inc., where he was responsible for the investment of more than $34 billion in retirement plan assets. Chuck’s experience also includes positions with Aetna Retirement Services (now ING) and LOMA, an educational association serving financial services company members worldwide.
Chuck has been published in various industry publications and is often quoted in both industry and national publications, including the
Atlanta Journal-Constitution,
the
Atlanta Business Chronicle
and
The Wall Street Journal
. He also is a frequent speaker at industry conferences. Iron Capital is the largest fee-only investment advisory in Atlanta by assets under management as ranked by the

, and the
Atlanta Business Chronicle
also has named Chuck one of Atlanta's Top 100 "Who's Who in Finance" for three consecutive years, as well as one of Atlanta’s “Power 50” Top Industry Leaders in 2010.
Chuck holds a B.A. in Economics from Wake Forest University, is a Fellow of the Life Management Institute and a Chartered Financial Consultant, and has earned the right to use the Charted Financial Analyst (CFA) designation. Chuck also is a member of the CFA Society of Atlanta and the CFA Institute. Chuck and his wife, Frost, live in Atlanta with their son, Charlie, and daughter, Mary Frost. Chuck is an avid golfer and is actively involved in the Georgia Culver Club and with Peachtree Road United Methodist Church, where he serves on the Finance Committee.
Michael D. Smith

Michael D. Smith ~ Director of Research
Michael Smith is an analyst with Iron Capital Advisors and a member of the firm’s investment committee. Michael’s responsibilities include security analysis, mutual fund commentary, trading, research, search coordination, and management of the firm’s ongoing internship program in conjunction with Georgia State University’s Robinson College of Business. Michael joined Iron Capital in 2006 and is a Level II candidate for the Charted Financial Analyst (CFA) designation.
Michael holds a B.B.A in Finance with honors from Georgia State University. Before embarking on his investment career, Michael was a professional musician whose musical career culminated in touring with Grammy-nominated country artists Sugarland. Michael lives in Atlanta and continues to play mandolin and guitar with his band the Dappled Grays.

Chris Briggs joined Iron Capital in June 2011 as Director and is responsible for client relations and business development.
Chris brings to Iron Capital more than 20 years of experience leading full-service, fee-based planning initiatives. Chris has worked with affluent investors to solve various wealth management issues throughout his career. His experience includes strategic planning for small business owners, business retirement plans, individual retirement planning, accumulation to distribution strategies, wealth preservation and tax and estate planning. A versatile, accomplished financial professional, Chris performs as a key partner and provides critical leadership in guiding clients to their long-term financial goals. Chris believes it is important to work with clients to help them understand all of the solutions available to them.
Prior to joining Iron Capital, Chris was vice president of investments for ten years with UBS Financial Services in Atlanta, where he was responsible for solution-based planning and managed $50 million in customer assets. Before his tenure with UBS, Chris worked for ten years as a financial advisor and retirement planning consultant with Smith Barney in Atlanta.
Chris studied finance at Auburn University and Georgia State University and earned the right to use the Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation in 2001. Chris has three children and lives in Atlanta.
Virginia Frost B. Osborne

Virginia Frost B. Osborne ~ Director of Marketing Communications
Virginia Frost Osborne is the director of marketing communications for Iron Capital Advisors and has nearly 15 years of experience in public relations and corporate communications. Frost manages the firm’s web site, public relations and external communications.
Prior to joining Iron Capital, Frost worked in corporate communications for Americas division of IHG (InterContinental Hotels Group) PLC. In more than five years with IHG, most recently as the director of brand communications, Frost was responsible for public relations and crisis communications for all IHG hotel brands in North America, including InterContinental® Hotels & Resorts, Crowne Plaza® Hotels & Resorts, Hotel Indigo®, Holiday Inn® Hotels and Resorts, Holiday Inn Express®, Staybridge Suites® and Candlewood Suites®. Frost began her tenure at IHG with the iconic Holiday Inn family of brands and directed public relations efforts for the brand’s 50th anniversary in 2002 and the global brand relaunch in 2007.
Frost also worked for five years at public relations firm GCI Group (now Cohn & Wolfe) in Atlanta, where she led public relations programs for clients in GCI’s Corporate and Integrated Marketing practices, including Holiday Inn and IHG, Bain & Company, Coca Cola, the American Cancer Society, The Carpet and Rug Institute, Georgia Pacific and KSL Lake Lanier Islands. Frost managed client relationships and account teams to execute business-to-business and business-to-consumer marketing communications initiatives, including national media relations and promotional/marketing campaigns. Frost began her career as the director of membership for the American Gaming Association (AGA), the trade association for the gaming-entertainment industry, in Washington, DC.
Frost holds a B.A. in Journalism from Washington and Lee University and is active with the W&L Atlanta Alumni Board and Peachtree Road United Methodist Church. She and her husband, Chuck, live in Atlanta with their son Charlie.
